Amity Wellness Health and detox retreat is located in beautiful Phuket, Thailand. Phuket is the most naturally beautiful place on earth boasting stunning beaches, lush mountainous terrain and crystal clear waters that wash over pristine reefs. The Amity Wellness retreat is located close to Phuket’s most spectacular beaches and only a short drive to local shopping malls, gyms, Muay thai Camps, sightseeing destinations and Phuket’s finest tourist attractions like the Big Buddha, Old Town and more.

Where is it? – Phuket is a large island (connected to the mainland by bridge) that lies off the west coast of Thailand in the Andaman sea.

How do we get there? – Phuket is an International airport and has direct flights to many destinations, alternatively you could fly into Bangkok and take a domestic flight to Phuket.

Rawai Animal Lovers (RAL)

Simone bagan feeding dogs and cats in 2005. She works together with the local monks and Soi dog foundation working tirelessly to get food, medicines and sterilisation to as many strays as possible

Bodhi Dog Rescue

Home to hundreds of stray dogs, They rescue street dogs that are sick, injured, starving, in danger of being poisoned, or otherwise in a bad condition of neglect and try to find them loving forever homes.

Seeds of Change

Seeds of change teach sewing and craft skills to underprivileged migrants using up cycled, re-cycled and donated fabrics so they can sell the handmade products to fund education, food and health

LOCAL BEACHES

Nai Harn

Nai Harn Beach is a beautiful beach for swimming (calm waters Nov-April) and gorgeous sunsets. Simple shops sell beachwear and Thai crafts, and a Buddhist monastery Wat Nai Harn is located near the parking area

Sunrise Beach

Waking up to the sunrise is a truly beautiful practice. We recommend our guests embark on the daily optional self guided 6am walk to sunrise beach (900m) as we promise it will be a unforgettable highlight of your stay.

Ya Nui Beach

There is a unique rock formation splitting Ya Nui into two bays and a large island in front of it. The water is blue-green and beautiful and vibrant for snorkelling around the rocks.  You can rent kayaks, paddle boards, sun loungers and snorkels.

Ao Sane Beach

A hidden secret cove found by following the winding coastal road through the Nai Harn hotel.  The snorkelling at this beach is excellent and the 200m beach has enough trees lining its edge to provide shelter from the sun if needed

ANIMAL WELFARE

Elephant Sanctuary

The ethical Phuket elephant sanctuary is located in Pakhlok (31km away from the retreat).  It has a 600m canopy walk to allow you to observe the elephants as they roam free, forage, bathe and socialize in the jungle.

Gibbon Rehabilitation

Their objective is to develop a method to successfully rehabilitate white-handed gibbons back into their natural habitats, to end the demand for the illegal use of gibbons as tourists attractions

Soi Dog Foundation

Soi Dog Foundation (Soi Dog) was established in 2003 in Phuket to support the some 70,000 stray dogs and cats that roamed the island, with no-one else to care for them.

Bird Watching

There are various species of birds, both migratory and resident, inhabiting watersheds on the island. The terrain includes mangrove forests, marshland and secondary and old-growth jungle.

Big Buddha

The Big Buddha Phuket is a 45-meter-tall white marble statue visible from anywhere in the southern part of Phuket. Big Buddha boasts breath-taking panoramic views of Phuket and you can get blessed by the monks here

Chalong Temple

Chalong Temple (Wat Chalong) is the largest and most revered of Phuket’s Buddhist temples.  Locals and many Thai tourists come to pray and pay respects.   It was built at the beginning of the 19th century, in 1837

The most southern tip of Phuket island is undoubtedly the most Picturesque cape known for its stunning Andaman sea views, faraway islands, and breath-taking sunsets.

Bang Wad Dam

Bang Wad is one of the safest and greenest places for walking, cycling, and jogging in Phuket. The reservoir has a newly paved 6 km loop road going all the way around the reservoir and over the dam.

Nai Harn Lake

Nai harn lake perimeter walk is a flat 1.2 mile (3,000-step) route which is gentle and easy to suit all types of fitness levels.  Amity has a daily beach shuttle to Nai Harn beach.

Central Phuket (Central Festival Phuket) is one of the major shopping malls on the island and is open daily from 10.30 am till 10 pm. Central has a large number of brand name shops, a large banking zone, restaurants, beauty & healthcare centres, IT & electronics shops and a Cinema

Jungceylon Mall

Boasting an impressive 200-plus stores in this shopping heaven with great entertainment including a five-room SF Cinema and a 16-lane bowling alley, perfect for rainy days or to escape the heat of the day.  It is also located close to the famous Bangla Road in Patong
